Good Energy was set up to enable people to choose renewable power for their homes and businesses. We are proud that our commitment to having a positive impact on people and planet has been recognised by us becoming a B Corp in 2024. This makes us the only B Corp home energy supplier in the UK.

What is a B Corp?
B Corps are companies that meet very high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Companies that truly prioritise purpose as much as profit and have been independently verified by B Lab to prove it.
Popular B Corp accredited brands include Fat Face, Tony’s Chocolonely, Triodos Bank and TOMS.
How do you become a B Corp?
To become a B Corp, companies need to go through a rigorous assessment that looks into the impact it has on its employees, community, customers and the environment. They’ll need to get at least 80 points in their impact assessment to achieve B Corp status and will have to recertify every three years – increasing their points each time.
We’ve had to provide evidence from all across the business, from our sustainability practices to governance and community giving. It’s truly been a team effort with everyone at Good Energy involved in this incredible achievement.
The average score of businesses that complete B Corp’s B Impact Assessment is 50.9. We scored a total of 118.5, more than twice the average. We rated particularly highly in the ‘Environment’ category due to the products and services we provide that help people to reduce their carbon emissions.

Why is being a B Corp important to us?
