Our greener gas tariff is made up of at least 10% renewable biogas, produced by breaking down organic matter such as waste.
All emissions from gas used by customers are offset by supporting Gold Standard offsetting projects. These include household biogas projects in China, India and Kenya, which provide sustainable and healthier alternatives to burning solid fuel.

How does switching work?
- Go to our online journey to get a quick quote and approve your switch.
- We’ll switch your account over from your previous supplier. This can take as little as 2 days, and there won’t be any interruption to your supply in the meantime.
- You’re now a Good Energy customer! We’ll ask you for a starting meter read, or collect one from your smart meter automatically, so we can send you accurate energy statements.
Switching to a Good Energy smart tariff?
If you’ve chosen our EV or heat pump tariff, you’ll be switched to our SVT first while we check we can connect to your smart meter. We’ll let you know as soon as your new smart tariff is set up.
