When you’re deciding on whether to make a bigger investment in your home like installing a heat pump, recommendations from trusted friends and family go a long way.  

Simply share your heat pump customer reference number (you’ll find this on the front cover of your Good Energy heat pump proposal) with friends. They can enter it online when they get a heat pump quote, and they’ll receive £500 off their estimated price. 

Plus, you’ll receive a £250 voucher that can be used at John Lewis.

Refer a friend customer FAQs

You and the friend you refer to Good Energy supply using your unique referral link will each receive £50 credit on your accounts as soon as the first Direct Debit is taken from their new energy account and cleared. It is therefore dependent on their date of Good Energy supply starting and the date they set for their first payment to be taken.

You can refer as many people as you wish to Good Energy using your unique referral link. There is no limit to how many people you share this with.

You may not get your £50 credit if;

  • If the person you refer does not use your unique referral link to become a Good Energy supply customer
  • the person you refer does not complete their switch to Good Energy
  • the person you refer switches away from Good Energy before their first Direct Debit payment is taking over their supply
  • If the person you refer is already a Good Energy supply customer or has been our energy supply customer in the 12 months prior to us taking
  • You leave Good Energy supply before your friends first Direct Debit payment is taken
  • You are not eligible to refer your friends, family or colleagues to receive a reward. Visit our Terms & Conditions for more information

You will receive an email notification to let you know your unique referral link has been used by someone switching to Good Energy. You will receive another notification when we have taken their first Direct Debit payment and your account has been credited with £50.

The £50 credit will be applied automatically to your energy account as well as your friends account once we have received their first Direct Debit payment. This will appear on your energy statement as a “Referral reward”.

You can access your unique referral link via your online account. Once you’ve logged in to your account, you will see a prompt to share your unique referral link. This can then be copied and shared with friends and family.

Referral credits may be removed from either the referee or the referrers energy account if the eligibility criteria of a referral has not been met.

If a customer referral is made but the referred customer does not stay on supply with us for six months, we may remove any reward credits from both customer accounts. Ref T&Cs clause 19.7.

Referral credits can be used to pay for your energy consumption while on supply with Good Energy.

Under no circumstances will we make a cash payment in respect of a referral. Ref T&Cs clause 19.5. Refunds are considered a cash payment.

After six months of receiving a referral credit, we can assume the credit has been used to pay for your energy consumption. Therefore, any remaining credit on account can be requested to be refunded to you.

Any account refunds requested within 6 months of a referral credit being applied to your account will be considered by our payments team excluding the value of the referral credit.
