We're one of the top 50 companies to work for in the South West
In February 2020, we asked our staff to complete the Best Companies survey, which included questions about how they felt about working for Good Energy. The results from this survey have been compared against the survey results from other UK companies and the rankings came out on Friday. Best Companies help companies create a better workplace, because people who are fully engaged at work feel happier and more secure, which makes them more productive.
This was our first year entering the Best Companies to Work for lists and we’re happy to say that we have been rated as the 42nd best company in the South West to work for and the 5th best utility company to work for in the UK. These results are based purely on the answers our employees gave in the survey. As an incentive to complete the survey, we donated money to the homeless charity, Doorway, for every response we received, raising a total of £1,040 for the charity.
Whilst we are disappointed not to be ranked in the national list, it is a good result for our first year and we are working on how we can improve for 2022.
We will be doing regular pulse surveys throughout the year to make sure we’re focussing on the right things to ensure Good Energy is a great place to work. Our 24 Culture Champions play a really important role in our team. They have all volunteered to help test new ideas, give feedback and collaborate on plans to make Good Energy better for all of staff, our customers and the planet.
