As a supplier, installer, and long-standing champion of renewables, we’ve seen first hand how small decisions combine into real, measurable progress.

Here’s a look at what our community achieved together in 2025.

50,000 homes powered by 100% renewable electricity

This year, we supplied 50,000 households with 100% renewable electricity sourced directly from over 3,000 independent generators across the UK. For those homes, every cup of tea, every device charged, and every cosy evening at home was backed by cleaner, greener, regenerative sources. What’s more, this year Good Energy was awarded #1 for transparency on the Matched Clean Power Index. This meant the world to us, not just because we topped the rankings, but because the results highlighted what we’ve been saying for years: not all ‘100% renewable supply’ is created equal. Here’s why:

Without matching generation with consumption regularly, many suppliers can – and do – legally sell fossil fuel generated energy, branded as 100% renewable energy. They do this by using clever accounting to match their supply with renewably generated energy made at any point in the year. That’s like claiming your coffee is hot because the kettle was boiled yesterday. And while it does very little to support a genuinely cleaner grid, the method does a lot to mask the true carbon impact of that electricity.

On the other hand, we match our customers generation with consumption every hour – not just every year. So, by choosing Good Energy renewable supply, our customers’ daily routine genuinely helped support a cleaner, fairer energy system – simply by going about their day as normal. And that carbon reduction added up…

38,000 tonnes of carbon avoided

Four people walk along a fallen tree trunk in a forest, with tall trees and green foliage surrounding them on a sunny day.

Together, our supply customers helped prevent over 38,000 tonnes of carbon from being released into the atmosphere. That’s the real-world impact of energy that genuinely replaces fossil fuels on the grid rather than being offset on paper. But it’s a hard number to picture, so here’s another way of putting it: the combined effect of thousands of households choosing cleaner power was equivalent to over 1.5 million mature trees absorbing carbon all year long.

And that stat represents just one single year, not including the hundreds of customers who have installed solar panels with Good Energy – fuelling their home with their own renewably generated power instead of drawing from the grid…

689 clean energy systems installed

More households than ever took the next step in their renewable journey with our expert teams. This year, we helped 689 homes install solar panels, batteries, and heat pumps – helping to future-proof their homes with top-quality, low-carbon technology.

By generating more of their own power, solar customers become less vulnerable to price swings and gain greater control over how they power their homes. And for heat pump customers, by enjoying steady, controllable warmth and a healthier home environment, they’re finding winter feels easier – no more sudden temperature drops, no more overheating rooms, just consistent comfort day after day. Together, these upgrades give households smoother, more predictable energy use and a lifestyle that’s both cleaner and more resilient.

112 new employees joined the team

To keep that momentum going, we also grew behind the scenes. This year, 112 new employees joined Good Energy, bringing us to a team of 485. That growth isn’t just a number – it reflects more engineers on the road, more experts designing bespoke systems, and more people working to push renewable energy forward.

As demand for clean power rises, expanding our team ensures we can deliver the same level of personal service, technical excellence and climate ambition our customers expect.

1,678 customers shared the love on Trustpilot

And finally: thank you. 1,678 customers left us a review on Trustpilot this year, helping keep Good Energy proudly at five stars. Your feedback shapes how we work and drives us to keep delivering a greener, fairer energy system.
