We’re delighted to have won an award for installing a spectacular rainforest display inside our office, marking the launch of our Green Gas.
The decision to launch a gas product was driven by public demand, but rather than simply providing gas we decided to take an ethical approach and engage with carbon offsetting projects such as saving the world’s rainforests.
To recognise this we decided to bring the project right to our doorstep, decorating the office and inviting volunteers from the overseas rainforest projects to come to Good Energy HQ to talk about how the new product helps cut global emissions.
Our hard work and unique approach to staff engagement was recognised by the Chartered institute of Public Relations which saw us gain a Gold Award for ‘Best Internal Communications Campaign’ at its South of England ceremony in Bristol (on Friday 25 November).
David Brooks, Managing Director at Good Energy said:
“It’s great to be recognised for the special moments we create here at Good Energy. We wanted to do something different and bring our green gas product to life for our people – because they are the ones who bring it to life for our customers. It was great fun creating a rainforest in our office so I’m delighted to be able to celebrate our achievements this way.”
Our success didn’t stop there; we also took home the Silver Award in the ‘Outstanding in-house public relations team’ category.
