If you’re thinking about adding battery storage to your home (especially alongside solar panels), there’s never been a better time: Tesla has just launched a limited time rebate* for Powerwall 3 systems.

As a Tesla Powerwall Premium‑Certified Installer, Good Energy is ready to help you take advantage of this offer, with 5-star installation and market-leading customer service.

Keep reading to find out: what is the Tesla Powerwall rebate, everything you need to know about the Tesla Powerwall, and how to claim.

What is the Tesla Powerwall rebate?

A rebate is similar to an ordinary sale or discount, but instead of reducing the price before you pay, it gives you some of the money back after you pay.

  • When you order a Powerwall 3 (or a Powerwall 3 Expansion) between 1 December 2025 and 31 March 2026, you automatically become eligible for Tesla’s rebate scheme.
  • The rebate is £375 per Powerwall 3 (or expansion), and you can claim for up to two units per installation address. That equates to a maximum saving of £750 through reimbursement.
  • The rebate is delivered as a Virtual Visa® reward card after installation. The prepaid Visa, complete with unique numbers, is delivered via email and can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted, both online and by phone.

What are the benefits of a Tesla Powerwall 3

The Tesla Powerwall 3 is the most popular battery on the market, and for good reason. Here’s what you could benefit from by taking advantage of this rebate:

1. Lower energy bills through reduced reliance on the grid

Batteries allow you to store electricity whenever you decide to charge it. This means you could use low-cost, off-peak electricity at peak hours. Or, better yet, use your own clean energy – generated throughout the day with solar panels – long after the sun goes down.

2. Automatic backup during power cuts

In a power cut, a Powerwall 3 can keep your home running as if nothing happened, switching over to it’s stored power automatically until the grid is back up and running. Whether it’s winter storms, local faults or unexpected outages, it steps in instantly to power essential appliances – no manual switching required.  When the grid comes back, it automatically reconnects and recharges itself.

3. Powerful storage for busy, energy-intensive homes

With up to 13.5 kWh of storage and 11.04 kW of power output, the Powerwall 3 can handle the demands of most UK households. From cooking and laundry to EV charging and evening peak use, you’ll have enough stored energy to keep your home running smoothly day and night.

  • Register for the reimbursement using Tesla’s online portal by 31 March 2026. You can access Tesla’s reimbursement portal here.

  • Make sure the email address you use in the portal matches the one you used to register with Tesla — they must be the same for your claim to go through.

  • Return to the reimbursement portal once your install is complete (installed, connected, and registered) and submit your request for the registered reimbursement by May 31, 2026.

Once the request is submitted, Tesla will confirm the details and send you the reimbursement within 10 weeks.

No – the reimbursement is managed directly by Tesla. You’ll place your order with Good Energy, but you’ll need to submit your own claim through Tesla’s reimbursement portal and upload the required contract details.

Once you’ve placed your order with a Tesla Certified Installer, you can register your claim through Tesla’s reimbursement portal. Just select ‘Register my Reimbursement’ to begin.

Only the homeowner(s) named on the installation contract can complete the registration. You’ll be able to register anytime between 1 December 2025 and 31 March 2026.

During registration, you’ll be asked to upload a copy of your sales contract. To be accepted, the contract needs to show:

  • A valid contract date between 1 December 2025 and 31 March 2026

  • The name of the Tesla Certified Installer

  • The homeowner’s full name

  • The installation address

  • The email address that matches your Tesla Account

  • The product(s) you purchased and the quantity

  • The final pricing

After your Powerwall system has been installed, connected and registered, return to the portal to complete the final submission. This must be done by 31 May 2026.

While we can’t guarantee eligibility, we’ll ensure your contract contains the correct information. Tesla makes the final decision on each claim, so the reimbursement is issued by Tesla and is subject to their terms and approval.

No – nothing about your Good Energy experience changes by claiming this rebate. Your installation, system warranty and the ongoing support you receive from our team all stay exactly the same. The reimbursement is simply an extra benefit offered by Tesla, and it sits completely separately from the quality service and performance protection warranties you get through Good Energy.

* Offer subject to eligibility criteria under Tesla’s rebate programme
