We’re proud to be the official training-kit partner of Bristol Bears Men’s and Women’s side for the 2025 / 26 season.  As a renewable energy supplier rooted close to Bristol, we chose the Bristol Bears as our sports partner because of their local roots and deep commitment to sustainability.

Read on to discover what we saw from the stands during their Green Game, and how community spirit brings our partnership with Bristol Bears to life. 

Bringing sustainability centre-field: the Bears “Go Green Game” 

The Green Game took place on Saturday 29th November, with the Bears taking on Northampton Saints in a key Pledgeball fixture; a match where fans had the chance to make a real difference both on and off the pitch.

Our Good Energy team were out in force. Several members of our team were there on the day, helping to cheer on the Bears and proudly represent our brand pitch-side.  

They were also treated to a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, giving them a unique look at how the club operates on game day. Their energy, enthusiasm and commitment helped make the Green Game feel even more special, showing what happens when our people and our purpose come together. 

Some of our favourite highlights included: 

  • Bristol Bears powering through to victory – Despite many of the Bears being out with injuries, the team were able to charge through biting cold and achieve a confident 46–12 win, which had the crowd electric from start to finish. 
  • Eco Bike Challenge – Bears’ fans took on our Eco Bike Challenge, racing to generate as much energy as they could. Those who rose to the challenge and tackled our quick energy quiz were entered into a prize draw to win a signed Bristol Bears T-shirt.

Turning match day energy into real-world impact 

This “Green Game” goes beyond a single fixture or sponsorship: it’s about positioning sport as a force for environmental change. By blending the energy of the game with practical climate action, we hope to inspire households and fans to take real steps towards a greener future. 

For us at Good Energy, working with the Bears creates a powerful example: a local club, local community, and a local business – all aligned behind renewables. As the Bears charge forward on the pitch wearing Good Energy-branded kit, we hope their fans also take away a sense of possibility: that sustainability can be part of everyday life.
