*Savings explained
Our carbon calculator is based on average energy usage figures for a 2-3 bedroom home, choosing our products on the following basis:
- 3.68kW solar panel installation, which is around 10 panels
- 10kW battery
- 340% efficient heat pump (the average efficiency of heat pump systems installed by Good Energy)
- Good Energy Solar Savings export tariff – a variable tariff currently paying 15p/kWh. If you install solar panels and a battery with Good Energy, you qualify for our Solar Savings Exclusive tariff, a higher rate export tariff with a fixed term of 12 months, and a variable rate that currently pays 40p/kWh.
- Good Energy EV Charge tariff, in comparison to charging an EV on a standard electricity tariff.
When you get quotes you’ll receive more accurate figures based on your home and chosen energy products.
** Solar panels, a heat pump, high-grade insulation and battery storage would save someone living in a typical three-bedroom, semi-detached newly built house £46,612 over a 25-year mortgage term according to modelling carried out by the MCS Foundation charity.
***The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a grant set up by the government. The majority of air source heat pump installations are eligible for the grant. Find out more.
