Ways to pay

1. Set up a Direct Debit

A Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to pay your bill.

If you are on our standard variable tariff, you can save £15 per fuel type, per year when choosing to pay by Direct Debit as thanks for saving us time and cutting carbon emissions.

Your payment will be automatically debited from your bank account every month.

We’ll use your meter readings to check you’re paying the right amount, and will let you know if we need to adjust your Direct Debit.

Prepayment meters

Traditional prepayment meters can be topped up using your key or card at a registered outlet. It’s important to regularly check the balance by pressing A or 1 on your meter, as it won’t alert you when your credit is getting low.

If your balance drops below £0 and you’re not able to top up straight away, you can activate the emergency credit function on your meter.

Smart prepayment meters can be topped up via your smart prepayment online account.

If your balance drops below £5, you will receive a notification confirming when your supply will be disconnected. Your meter will not disconnect when our offices are closed. Find out how to activate emergency credit in our Smart Prepayment guide.
