We’ve recently passed a huge milestone at Good Energy. We now buy our power from over 2000 renewable generators in Wales, England and Scotland.

One of them in Albourne Estate, a family-owned vineyard and winery close to Brighton, owned by Alison Nightingale.

Winemaker, business owner, renewable generator

Ever since they released their first vintage, Albourne Estate has powered its winery with our 100% renewable electricity.

And in 2013, they installed a 159 panel solar array, which generates 38,000KWh every year.

They use around a third of their home-grown electricity to produce wine and power their shop. They then sell the rest to us, which we match with the power used by our home and business customers.

“Sustainability is always important. And I think all of us can feel ‘what can we do about it?’ We all can do something at an individual or a business level.”

2000 renewable generators

Reaching the milestone of 2000 renewable generators is a huge achievement for us at Good Energy.

We believe that decentralised, flexible renewable generation is the future of Britain’s energy. We are proud to have provided a route to market, great personalised service and a fair income to help this industry to grow and grow.

Thank you to our customers, generators and investors for helping us to support Britain’s small renewable generators.
