Good Energy tops the table of the UK’s greenest energy suppliers by Which?

• Good Energy ranked joint first in Which?’s sustainability analysis, with a top-performing score of 85%

18 June 2026: Good Energy has topped the table of the UK’s most sustainable energy suppliers in a new independent analysis by consumer champion Which?, underlining its continued leadership as a pioneer in renewable energy.

The Which? assessment looked at how energy suppliers source their power, reduce their environmental impact and help customers make greener choices. The results highlight a clear difference between suppliers that are delivering on their sustainability promises and those that still have further to go.

Good Energy achieved a joint top score of 85%, placing it alongside Octopus Energy at the top of the rankings. The company was also awarded Which? Eco Provider status for 2026, retaining the endorsement for the sixth year since the scheme launched in 2021.

The company received full marks (5/5) for helping households cut carbon and stood out for its approach to renewable energy by matching customers’ electricity use with power generated from renewable sources in the same half-hour period around 90% of the time.

Good Energy is also ranked number one for British-made renewable electricity, according to the Matched Clean Power Index. This independent benchmark looks at how closely suppliers match the electricity their customers use with renewable power, measured on a half-hourly basis, making it one of the most accurate reflections of genuinely green energy supply available to UK consumers.

Good Energy’s continued recognition reflects its long-standing mission to power homes and businesses with 100% renewable electricity, sourcing electricity from over 3,300 independent British generators.
