    Heat pumps extract heat from the outside air

    Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air, even in sub-zero conditions.

    Air is then drawn into an external unit and passed over a refrigerant that evaporates at very low temperatures.

    Vapour is compressed to raise its temperature

    The resulting vapour is compressed to raise its temperature further, and this heat is transferred to your building’s heating and hot water systems.

    The refrigerant then returns to liquid form, ready to repeat the cycle.
