18 June 2026: Good Energy is the only UK energy company to receive Uswitch’s Green Accreditation 2026, reinforcing its position as the UK’s gold standard renewable energy supplier.

The accreditation, led by a panel of independent experts, celebrates tariffs that go furthest in supporting renewable energy and improving transparency for consumers navigating often complex green energy claims.

Uswitch named five tariffs as meeting its highest environmental standards — all of which are offered by Good Energy: Good Energy Standard, Good Energy Fix, Good Energy Heat Pump Tariff, Good Energy EV Charge and Good Energy PPM.

To earn Green Accreditation, suppliers must demonstrate that they are genuinely supporting renewable energy. This includes buying electricity directly from renewable generators, closely matching customers’ energy use with renewable generation throughout the year and helping increase the amount of renewable gas reaching UK households.

The recognition highlights the continued challenge for customers in identifying genuinely green energy deals. While many tariffs are marketed as “green”, far fewer meet robust and transparent standards.

Good Energy is also ranked number one for British-made renewable electricity, according to the Matched Clean Power Index. This independent benchmark looks at how closely suppliers match the electricity their customers use with renewable power, measured on a half-hourly basis, making it one of the most accurate reflections of genuinely green energy supply available to UK consumers.

Fran Woodward, Managing Director of Supply at Good Energy, said:  “Uswitch’s Green Accreditation highlights something we’ve long said — not all green tariffs are created equal. We’re proud that five of our tariffs have been recognised as meeting the highest standards for supporting renewable energy.

Trust is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we go beyond simply buying renewable certificates. During the assessed period, we matched 90 per cent of our customers’ electricity use with renewable power generated in the same half hour, ensuring customers can be confident they’re choosing genuinely renewable energy”
