About the project
The site for the proposed wind farm lies approximately 2km north-east of the village of Tayinloan on the western side of the Kintyre peninsula, as shown in the map.
At present, we believe the site has the potential to accommodate a wind farm of up to 13 turbines of up to 130m tip height.
However, our plans are subject to change and may be influenced by the views of the local community as well as by the results of site assessment work.
In spring 2015 we submitted a scoping report to Argyll & Bute Council, together with a planning application for two temporary meteorological masts. Our scoping report (main report and diagrams) and the planning authority’s response are available for download on the left.
Further site assessment work and community consultation is currently taking place with a view to a planning submission being made in 2016.
The project is currently known as Willow Wind Farm although this may change as a result of local consultation.
