What is a QR code?
A QR code is a 2-D square-shaped black and white barcode that can be read by smartphones and tablets via a QR code scanning app. QR codes are typically used for storing URLs (website links) or other information. The 'QR' stands for quick response.
How does a smartphone, or tablet, read a QR code?
Each phone, or tablet, needs a QR code reader app to allow the camera to read QR codes. Depending on the type of device you have, you can download a QR code app, free of charge, from the app store on your phone (links below).
