This looks into a company\u2019s impact on its employees, its community, its customers and the environment. 80 is a minimum to achieve B Corp status, and the average score of businesses completing the assessment is 50.9.<\/p>\n<p>You must recertify every three years, increasing your points each time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow is--inner-block\">\n<p class=\"has-brand-yellow-background-color has-background is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The best businesses have a purpose beyond profit. is--inner-block\">\n<p class=\"is--inner-block\">As a purpose-driven company, becoming a Certified B Corp has been our goal for many years, and we completed our initial B Impact Assessment in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block\">To complete and verify our B Impact Assessment, we needed to provide evidence from all across the business, from our sustainability practices to our governance processes and community giving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow is--inner-block\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image scored a total of\u00a0118.5\u00a0points more than double the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcorporation.net\/en-us\/find-a-b-corp\/company\/purpose\/#:~:text=Overall%20B%20Impact%20Score,the%20assessment%20is%20currently%2050.9.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> median score of 50.9 for companies completing B Lab\u2019s Impact Assessment<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>We rated particularly highly in the \u2018Environment\u2019 category due to the products and services we provide that help people to reduce their carbon emissions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:acf\/media-content \/--><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3,\"className\":\"is-style-default\"} --><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"whats-next-for-good-energy\" class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-default\">What&#8217;s next for Good Energy?<\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Although officially certified, we are yet to secure enduring certification through B Lab\u2019s \u2018values lock\u2019 \u2014\u202fwhich involves making a legal change to reflect our commitment to social and environmental impact alongside profitability.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>We have a year in which to make this legally-binding change, and will be putting this as a special resolution to our shareholders at our 2025 AGM, as we did in both 2023 and 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:columns --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:columns --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!--
