It sets out Good Energy\u2019s expectations for the information we would expect to see on a LOA. This list is not designed to be exhaustive but instead serve as a helpful guide.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"our-loa-expectations\" class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Our LOA expectations&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Clear identification:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your contact details: Name, Job title&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Company details: Full legal name, registered address, company registration number (if applicable) and relevant sites and Meter Point Administration Numbers (MPANs).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Third party details: Full legal name, address, and contact information of the authorised entity (e.g., energy broker, consultant).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Scope of authority:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Explicitly define permissions: Clearly outline the specific actions the third party is authorised to undertake. Common examples include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Requesting and receiving account information (usage data, contract details)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Negotiating with energy suppliers for better deals&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Handling billing inquiries and complaints&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Submitting meter readings&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Organising maintenance or upgrade appointments&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Limitations: Specify any restrictions on the third party&#8217;s authority or exclusivity agreements&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Please be aware that Good Energy does not accept Authority to Transact as part of LOAs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Duration of authority:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Validity period: Clearly state the duration for which the LOA is valid. A typical period is 12 months, but it can vary depending on your agreement with the third party.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Payment terms (if applicable):<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Fee structure: If applicable, outline how the third party&#8217;s fees will be paid (e.g. direct billing, commission, deduction from savings). Ensure transparency in payment arrangements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. Authorised signatures:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Signatory: The LOA must be on a company letterhead signed by the business owner, a company director or a specifically designated signatory with the authority to grant such permission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;
