If we have an email address for you, we will send these to you by email under the subject line \u2018Your clean energy statement\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide wp-block-paragraph\">Your&nbsp;account will bill on a fixed day every month, usually the 1st of the month unless you\u2019ve asked us to use a different day. Please note, this is not always the same address as the property we supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>B \u2013 Invoice number<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">This is the unique reference for this bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>C \u2013 Account number<\/strong><br>This is the unique energy account number that we have assigned to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>D \u2013 Date Issued<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">This is the date we issued the bill to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>E \u2013 Emergency numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">These are the numbers to call if you are experiencing a gas leak or power cut. You will be connected to your energy distributor who is responsible for maintaining a supply of energy to your property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>F \u2013 Charges and credits on your account<\/strong><br>Net \u2013 this figure is calculated based on the amount of energy you have used between the two dates shown. Your usage is measured using your meter readings or where we don\u2019t have actual meter readings, an estimation of your usage based on your usage history.<br><br>CCL \u2013 where the climate change levy (CCL) applies (for example, you are using more than an average of 33 kWh per day and you do not have an exemption), you will see charges here calculated based on the amount of energy you have used between the two dates shown. CCL is a government levy and is charged at the same rate by all energy supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">VAT \u2013 value added tax (VAT) applies at the point of bill to both energy consumption and climate change levy charges. The standard rate of VAT for businesses is 20% however VAT will be charged a 5% if you use below the de minimis threshold of an average of 33 kWh per day during the billing period or you have let us know that you are eligible for reduced rate VAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">Total \u2013 this is the total of net, CCL and VAT charges added together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>G &#8211; Total for this bill<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">This figure shows the total cost across all charge periods for all supplies covered by the bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>H &#8211; Current balance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">This is your account balance at the end of this billing period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">If the figure shown is followed by DR, this means you are in debit and owe that amount. If you were to switch away tomorrow, you would need to pay that amount to us to settle up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">If the figure shown is followed by CR, \u2013 this means that you\u2019ve built up credit in your account, and we would return that to you if you switched away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">Your account balance may vary throughout the year depending on how your business operates. For Direct Debit customers, it\u2019s common to build up credit during periods of lower usage, which will go towards offsetting periods of higher usage. Your balance should even out over the course of the year, but if something does look wrong, you can request a credit refund or change your payment amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I \u2013 Payment information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">Information about your payments will be shown here. Customers would be temporarily disconnected on a rolling basis to ensure overall customer supplies are protected equally. Each customer \u2018block\u2019 is identified by a letter from A to U which indicates where your property is connected to the electricity system.<strong><br><br>L \u2013 Meter Serial Numbers<br><\/strong>You\u2019ll find these numbers on the front of your gas \/ electricity meters. The serial number on your bill should always match your property\u2019s meter.When you provide meter readings on the website, this is the number you will need to use.<br><strong><br>M \u2013 MPRN<br><\/strong>The MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number) is your Gas reference number, unique to the supply at your property.<strong><br><br>N \u2013 Meter Readings<br><\/strong>If we receive meter readings from you, these will be listed here. If we do not receive meter readings from you, we will estimate readings, based on your estimated annual consumption. If you have a smart meter, we will pull a regular smart reading to bill you. If this section is left blank, this is because we have received a meter reading from a visiting meter reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>O \u2013 Charge calculations<br><\/strong>This section shows what charges apply and how they have been calculated on this meter in the billing period. All rates shown are exclusive of VAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&nbsp;<br>P \u2013 Total Charges<br><\/strong>This section shows the rate of VAT applied and total charges for this meter in the billing period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Q \u2013 Tariff Information<br><\/strong>You\u2019ll find more detailed information about your tariff here including the tariff name, the contract end date if you are on a fixed tariff and any early exit fees that might apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is--inner-block wp-block-paragraph\">Your estimated annual usage is the amount of energy we think you\u2019re going to use based on your past meter readings. You can also use this figure for energy quotes.<br><strong><br>R \u2013 Gas Conversion<br><\/strong>Gas isn\u2019t measured in kWh like electricity.
