    The challenge: A 15-branch builders merchants on a decarbonisation journey<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Covers Timber & Builderds Merchants, a well-established company with a network of 15 branches across the South of England, aimed to reduce its energy costs and carbon footprint. As a business with high energy consumption across multiple sites, Covers was looking for a reliable and sustainable solution to lower their reliance on grid electricity and future-proof their operations against rising energy prices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The solution: 178kWp solar panels helping them save over \u00a350,000 a year<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Good Energy Solar was selected to design and install a solar energy system that met Covers’ operational and environmental goals. The project involved the installation of two systems with a combined capacity of 178 kW, featuring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    – 430 Jinko solar panels
    – 215 SolarEdge optimizers
    – 2 SolarEdge inverters<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The systems now produce approximately 161,989 kWh of clean electricity annually, enabling Covers to reduce their electricity bills by around \u00a354,000 per year and cut annual carbon emissions by over 90 tonnes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
