The challenge: A premium care home group on a sustainability journey
Part of the Colten Care Group, Brook View Care Home is a purpose-built facility that provides 24/7 care and well-being for the elderly, whether they need short-term or long-term care.
With 21 Care Homes within the group, Colten Care Group is on a journey of sustainability, with its efforts including reducing the use of chemicals within their gardens, reducing single-use plastic and choosing Good Energy Solar to install solar arrays at four care homes, including Brook View..
The Solution: A SolarEdge optimised solar array, saving nearly 43 tonnes of CO2 each year
Good Energy Solar designed and installed an impressive 184 panel SolarEdge optimised solar array. Visible to employees and visitors to the Care Home, the solar array improves perception of Brook View as a facility that truly cares about combatting climate change.
Generating 61.65 MWh a year, the solar array helps the Care Home to save around £26,077 in their energy bills, and 34.3 tonnes of carbon emissions annually too.
Good Energy Solar has installed solar arrays at four of Colten Care Group’s Care Homes. Combined, these solar arrays generate 298 MWh of renewable electricity per year, and lead to a combined saving of 165.8 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
