Hay Festival - one of the UK's greenest festivals

Hay Festival and Good Energy go way back – we’ve been sponsoring the event now for five years running! But this year, we are thrilled to go one step further, and to announce that the mains electricity supply for the entire 2018 festival will be powered by our 100% renewable electricity too.

Cleaner, greener Hay

Festivals are not typically the greenest of events. Think of all the lights, audio equipment and the thousands of people flocking there and it’s easy to see why.

So we are especially proud that this year, Hay Festival will be powered by our 100% renewable electricity, making it cleaner and greener than ever before.

Set in the beautiful landscape of the Welsh borders, Hay festival is the UK’s leading literature and arts festival, bringing together readers and writers from around the world to share stories, inspire, and debate society’s most important issues.

For us at Good Energy, it's the perfect arena to explore new ideas and make new friends. We’re proud to sponsor a series of events at this year’s festival:
