Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits
Changing the world is no easy task. But in 1999 that’s exactly what Good Energy set out to do. Its purpose is to enable people, in their homes and their businesses, to play an important role in protecting their world from climate change, by providing households and businesses access to locally sourced 100% renewable energy.
Fast forward to today, and the business is now a key player in the renewable energy space. But we’re now embarking on an exciting new phase that will transform Good Energy into a digital business that’s at the forefront of technology in the energy sector. To make that happen, we’re forming a new team of digital experts to lead this transformation by building websites, apps, and other software that will truly set us apart in the eyes of our customers and do things no-one else can.
Although we are based in Chippenham, we offer a flexible and remote working culture.
About the role
You will join a new and fast paced team within a new and collaborative IT & Digital function. Our new teams are built with cross function in mind, this will incorporate agile UX research, design and development practices and enjoy a degree of autonomy within the wider Good Energy group.
Each member of the team has an unusual opportunity to influence the direction of the business, and the energy sector as a whole. Fundamentally, we want this team to be made up of self-motivated individuals to proactively identify and solve problems.

We want to make it easier than ever for our customers to move to a smart-enabled home and generate their own energy too, all enabled through digital applications built by this team, making use of the rich data that smart homes can provide us.
You will work closely with your colleagues in your team as well as stakeholders from the wider business to build new user interfaces that surprise and delight our customers. Your role will be responsible for the delivery and quality of the coding of these new projects, as well as collaborating with designers and other developers on the functionality, layout and visual design.
