About the role

So we are not your typical energy company and this is not a typical Sales role. Working within our Business Services Team in this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Services Team to grow and deliver business sales.  With responsibility for inbound and outbound SME business sales, you will take incoming calls through the sales line, and follow up on leads generated by marketing and the website.  You will also identify, qualify and close inbound sales leads received by email.  The SME team is also responsible for minimising losses by proactively contacting lapsing customers to win them back.

Key Responsibilities

  • Following up all marketing leads and inbound phone sales enquiries to maximise sales and retention conversion rates. .
  • Proactively dealing with inbound email enquiries for SME businesses with the aim of converting them into a customer.
  • Following up all leads generated by marketing campaigns/activity and emails received from potential customers promptly, to maximise Good Energy’s conversion, in accordance with KPIs.
  • Minimising Good Energy losses, by proactively contacting lapsing customers and seeking to retain them, within industry guidelines and using appropriate sales techniques.
  • Building and maintaining strong Customer relationships
  • Supporting event-based sales activity as required.

 About You

You’ll have a previous experience of working in a dynamic sales function both inbound and outbound and will be able to demonstrate a proven record of converting sales leads and the results you have achieved.  Having worked in a target driven environment you will have proactively developed sales opportunities, you will have a flair for building relationships and delivering excellent customer service.

You will be a confident and engaging communicator and will have excellent negotiation and influencing skills in order to delivery commercially astute results. 

You don’t have to have a background in renewable energy but you must be motivated by working for a purpose and values led organisation, and have the capability to learn about a complex industry, fast.
