SMART Training Lead, Customer Services
Salary: Fixed Term Contract 9 – 12 months £35,000 - £40,000 OR 6 month Interim contract offering a day rate of £300-£350

The Good Energy team is currently around 300 people strong and is based in the market town of Chippenham, Wiltshire.
About the role
As SMART Training Lead, you will be working with the SMART project team. The team is accountable for the implementation of Good Energy’s SMART rollout and proposition, to support the Governments initiative in enabling customers to move to a SMART meter by 2020. Your purpose is to engage with our people through the rollout, ensuring they have the technical knowledge and skills to be able to support our customers as they embark on the journey too.
As SMART Training lead, you’ll be responsible for embedding this cultural change through the innovative design, delivery, and evaluation of key learning interventions across Good Energy. As part of your role, you’ll be required to:
- Design and deliver systems, technical, compliance and soft (sales and service) skills training solutions that support the SMART rollout
- Work closely with the SMART project team (including business leads and subject matter experts) to build your knowledge and understanding of our processes and customer (sales and service) journey
- Design and deliver learning content that harnesses current L&D trends and technology, including E-learning, videos and system simulations
- Evaluate all learning interventions, identifying trends and return on investment which will feed into continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure learning records reflect the monitoring of all technical and industry specific learning, along with ongoing reporting of progress when required.
- Supporting the wider Learning and development teams to make sure that project delivery plans align with Good Energy’s wider development plans and resource priorities.
With a passion for helping people to learn and grow, you’ll be an engaging communicator with a creative flare. You’ll be self-motivated, and organised, with the ability to work with detail and a passion for driving quality, and performance. You’ll be able to work with people at all levels, developing their skills and encouraging positive behavioural change.
You’ll have experience in the design and delivery of various learning and development solutions (technical and soft skills) within a customer service and/or sales operation. You’ll be able to show your skills in using innovative training solutions and new ideas to engage and motivate your learners.
You’ll have the ability to lead, plan and deliver a training project work stream to agreed timescales, collaborating with other functions, project teams and key stakeholders.
