About the role

The SMART Business Lead is responsible and accountable for embedding SMART into our operational teams. This is to ensure that we can continue to deliver great service to our customers using the latest SMART meter technology. You’ll do this by leading a team of ‘SMART Meter Experts’ to test the systems that have been updated for SMART, ensure the appropriate supporting operational processes are in place and work with the training team to ensure SMART is rolled out correctly across the teams.

You’ll be responsible for managing the SMART pilot to ensure lessons can be learned and improvements made prior to the full roll-out.  You’ll also manage the relationship with our MOP and MAP and DCC-adaptor partners.

In addition, you’ll work with the SMART programme manager to deliver improvements and other key regulatory elements to the current SMART offering, including pre-payment, FiT and future SMART products.

About you

With a passion of delivering excellent customer service, you’ll possess demonstrable experience of process improvement, from conception through to delivery. You’ll be able to evidence your skills that demonstrate excellent people engagement, and have previously delivered in a rapidly changing environment whilst managing any regulatory requirements.

You’ll possess experience of delivering within a complex customer environment, collaborating effectively with back-office functions and project teams.

In addition, you’ll possess the ability to plan and deliver to agreed timescales and be confident and engaging with stakeholders.
