About the role
The Good Energy Digital team are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our growing business in Chippenham.
Your primary responsibilities will be to spearhead the development of our Content Management System and Web Application platforms with your Scrum team members in bi-weekly sprints.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, advocate collaboration, brim with enthusiasm, wax lyrical about modern software development and have a proven track record of developing Web Applications.
Other key duties and accountabilities of the role will include;
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems and implement
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and atomisation and provide feedback to key stakeholders.
- Provide key characteristics and design points for full integration cycles and implement
- To effectively troubleshoot and provide ongoing support for systems issues relating to database matters that may be raised through the helpdesk.
- Coach and upskill team members
- Work with variety of people and key stakeholders, across the IT, Marketing and wider Business teams, to help deliver suitable and robust web solutions designed to increase web presence and increase ‘hit’ rates of Web
You will have experience of designing and developing complex web applications as well as experience of developing for enterprise content management systems, such as Umbraco. With previous experience of developing web services you will also be an expert using version control systems.
You will have In-depth knowledge of the following:
- C# ASP.NET and JS MVC development
- JQuery and AJAX
- SQL and SQL Server 2008+
- Enterprise CMS Deployments
- AZURE or AWS deployment experience
- Experience of using Node.JS
- Continuous Integration services such as TeamCity
With excellent planning and organisational skills you will have previously worked in Agile or Scrum. A strong collaborator and team player you will be an effective and comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels within Good Energy.
You don’t have to have a background in renewable energy but you must be motivated by working for a purpose and values led organisation, and have the capability to learn about a complex industry, fast.
