Good Energy now employs around 300 people in the historic market town of Chippenham, Wiltshire.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, commercially astute marketeer to drive the profitable acquisition of Domestic customers to Good Energy and lead a team of marketers to deliver against strategy and plan. This is a role that can make a real difference to the commercial outcome of Good Energy, with this person accountable for the profitable acquisition of Domestic customers who want to switch to a cleaner, more ethical energy provider. This role forms part of the Marketing leadership team.

In this role you will have a key focus on the media channels and key messages which will attract customers in line with CPA targets.  You will work with your team to build the communications channels and campaigns to successfully launch new products and services, ensuring we’re seizing opportunities to upsell and cross sell to our existing customers as well as acquiring new customers.

You will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager for our business customers and Head of Communications to build the annual marketing plan to drive brand awareness and successful, profitable customer acquisition.  You will also work in partnership with the Marketing Director on the overall strategy for the team.

About you

You will be a successful marketing professional who has significant experience of leading high performing teams to deliver strong creative campaigns that resonate with target audiences.  With demonstrable experience of developing marketing plans and strategies you will also have built effective marketing campaigns across a mixed ATL and digital channels to deliver a targeted CPA. 

You will have worked extensively with creative, media and digital agencies and will be able to demonstrate commerciality as well as budget management experience.  You will have the credibility to quickly gain the respect of team members and the ability to influence key stakeholders.

It would be a distinct advantage if you can demonstrate an understanding of the UK energy Market, the case for renewables within the market and why customers switch suppliers.

A background in the UK energy sector is not essential, however you must be motivated by working for a purpose and values led organisation, with the capability to quickly learn about a complex regulated industry.
