The business has recently reviewed its longer term strategy and is now poised to take a leap forwards, focused on a transformational growth agenda which delivers long term value for its customers, shareholders and people. This will enable the achievement of its purpose; powering the choice for customers, of a cleaner greener future. The Good Energy team is currently around 300 people strong and is based in the market town of Chippenham, Wiltshire.
About the role
In your role as New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager you will lead high impact commercial projects, which are of high strategic importance and secure their straight forward implementation. Furthermore you will be responsible to guide/support implementing strategic initiatives related to the strategic plan.
More specifically you will work with the Head of NPD to ensure that NPD are delivered effectively across the business. This will include resource planning, managing budgets, reporting progress against project milestones, managing and communicating risks throughout the project lifecycle as well as tracking and reporting on these initiatives. You will assist in the creation of annual budget proposals for internal investment and reporting for Governance bodies as required.
You’ll be an experienced Project Manager looking to develop their skills and career by bringing new products to market. Degree qualified or equivalent you will have a track record or successfully managing complex projects. You’ll be an engaging communicator with proven experience of working with key stakeholders across the business having successfully influenced and challenged at all levels in order to deliver outcomes within agreed time, cost and quality tolerances.
Results driven you will have excellent planning and organization sills and will be able to deliver operational excellence and tangible efficiency improvements.
It would also be a distinct advantage if you have knowledge of the renewable energy industry specifically in the areas of battery storage, electric vehicles, SMART and home generation. A formal Project Management qualification would also be an advantage.
