About the role

We are not your typical energy company and this is not a typical legal role. You will be part of our legal affairs team assisting with the provision of day to day legal support and advice across Good Energy’s businesses, ensuring close engagement with key business stakeholders, alignment of objectives and priorities and demonstrating a focus on delivering value whilst managing risk.

The role holder will need to collaborate with teams within the business as well as work closely with our compliance, regulatory and company secretarial teams. Key stakeholders will include Heads of Function, Senior Managers and experts across our business. You’ll also work closely with our Executive team and Board Members as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide support for a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory legal matters arising across Good Energy’s businesses.
  • To advise on and assist in the management of processes to obtain approvals from senior managers where required.
  • To ensure operational, legal and regulatory risks are managed and escalated as appropriate.
  • To ensure information systems are operated to the required standard to maintain accurate and secure records.

About you

You will have been qualified for at least three years, with experience of working preferably with in house within a corporate/commercial background. A good communicator with the ability to build strong and trusted advisor relationships. Experience of working in a highly regulated business is desirable but not essential. You will offer pragmatic advice and will deliver solutions to complex legal challenges. You’ll be part of a small but creative thinking, dynamic and very friendly team in a fast paced office.
