About the role
In this role you will lead and ensure effective corporate governance and risk management across Good Energy to support the Company Secretary, Executive Team and Board. In order to do this, you’ll build and lead a highly engaged, focussed and specialist team.
You and your team will be responsible for governance and Secretariat, providing advice on current and emerging matters related to directors’ duties, corporate governance, capital markets and company law, ensuring Good Energy meets its obligations to our investors and the City. You’ll ensure robust corporate governance and operate high-quality, proactive secretariat and corporate administration practices and procedures as well as maintaining company registers, records, filings and disclosures.
From a risk perspective, your team will support the Executive team and Audit and Risk Committee to evolve, embed and maintain an integrated enterprise risk management framework. As a function, you’ll identify, evaluate and manage risks in line with our strategic direction and operational performance. As such, you’ll deliver targeted assurance an audit reviews working in partnership with colleagues across the business.
You are passionate about Good Energy’s purpose and an experienced company secretary with strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.

You may not have deep experience of the risk and audit elements of this role, but you have the capacity and appetite to learn quickly, are adept at leading specialist teams and you see this as an opportunity to further your own development.
