The Good Energy team is currently around 300 people strong and is based in the market town of Chippenham, Wiltshire.

About the function and role

As Customer Services Data Analyst, you’ll be part of a team of analysts in the IT & Digital function. Your main focus will be working as a partner to Customer Services, responsible for providing analytical and reporting services to this area of the business, including supporting the production and measurement of key performance indicators, strategic operations analysis, identifying performance trends and interpreting data.

You’ll be responsible for creating dashboards and data insights solutions, and working with Customer Services leaders so they have the ability to create, mould and manipulate their own data. Other key duties and accountabilities of the role will include;

  • Supporting the broader organisation but specialising in the Customer Services function by developing reporting processes and producing regular and ad-hoc management information reports
  • Carrying out the transition of reporting from current process to future state solutions
  • Gathering reporting requirements from leaders within Customer Services, working with the wider IT & Digital team to deliver insights and data which can paint a valuable picture to form strategic decisions
  • Using appropriate statistical modelling techniques to provide high quality and thorough analysis of data and related processes to ensure business needs are continually anticipated and met
  • Maintain and develop business intelligence processes and assist in the creation of new processes
  • Identifying significant business issues and drivers; applying appropriate analysis techniques and interpreting the results produced

About you

With a passion for using data to drive business growth, you’ll have advanced MS Excel and SQL skills, coupled with demonstrable experience of querying databases. You’ll demonstrate attention to detail with a quality focus and have the ability to consolidate and interpret data to drive meaningful business insight.

You’ll be self-motivated, energetic, driven and be able to work effectively under pressure. In addition, you’ll have proven experience in an analytical role, taking the lead managing analysis projects.

Experience in an analytical role and managing analysis projects is essential for this position.
