About the role
Reporting to our Strategic Procurement Manager, in this role you will advise and support colleagues around the procurement for their areas of the business. You’ll build relationships with a variety of key stakeholders across Good Energy, and with a mix of influencing skills and commercial understanding, help them apply procurement tools and processes to maximise value for money and enable better decision making.
In addition to this, you will also focus on executing strategic procurement activities that require an experienced supply chain professional. You must be comfortable and have experience in drafting clauses in contracts and reviewing supplier qualifications with limited Legal input.
This is fantastic opportunity to contribute to shaping our procurement team and have a degree of influence over the way we buy goods, services and manage our supply chain.
Ideally you’ll have a relevant degree or similar qualification and with considerable experience within a procurement role preferably across a breadth of categories. You will additionally be working towards or fully qualified MCIPS.
You’ll be passionate about procurement and supporting the business to obtain their requirements from the supply market. Experienced in running RFP’s and ITT’s, you’ll be confident in drafting and reviewing contracts. Having experience of supplier performance management would also be an advantage.
A strong negotiator and influencer, you’ll be able to get the buy-in of key stakeholders through your interpersonal skills.
You’ll recognise that value takes many forms, not just the price paid. You’ll be a committed team player with a high degree of self-motivation. You’ll also have the ability to structure and solve problems using initiative, imagination & resourcefulness.
You don’t have to have a background in renewable energy but you must be motivated by working for a purpose and values led organisation, and have the capability to learn about a complex industry, fast.
