Commercial Officer

Supporting the Supplier Performance Manager you will be required to undertake a wide range of duties including:

  • Contract management of high value/risk suppliers
  • Lead and manage commercial aspects of contracts
  • Act as principal point of contact for suppliers delivering into contracts under your commercial control - interfacing directly with suppliers including conducting supplier performance reviews
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken with appropriate commercial agreements in place remaining compliant with Good Energy’s policies and procedure
  • Build and maintain good relationships with key suppliers
  • Supporting stakeholders with commercial requirements
  • Understand customer requirements in order to ensure that the Contract delivers best value for our customers
  • Sourcing and developing suppliers and services, providing Value for Money
  • Managing major supplier accounts for the Metering Services department providing maximum efficiency, and resolving internal problems when suppliers have concerns to be addressed.
  • Providing procurement advice and expertise to the wider business as required
  • Maintain commercial registers, archives, policies and procedures

To join us you’ll need;

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrable experience in building relationships with suppliers, contract/performance management, negotiation and supplier development
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
