Fast forward to today, and the business is now a key player in the renewable energy space, and despite challenging market conditions has continued to grow profitably over the past 5 years.
The business has recently reviewed its longer term strategy and is now poised to take a leap forwards, focused on a transformational growth agenda which delivers long term value for its customers, shareholders and people. This will enable the achievement of its purpose; powering the choice for customers, of a cleaner greener future. About the role
Working within our Business Services Team and reporting to the Senior Manager for PPA and FIT you will be responsible for meeting our targets and driving to exceed targets for acquiring new B2B FiT customers. You will do this through a number of channels to acquire these customers including outbound calling, leveraging of existing client relationships and partnering with third parties including data handlers, intermediaries and asset managers.
You will also leverage and identify cross sell opportunities for other Good Energy and partner products and services, and build relationships with data handling companies, asset managers and PV installers/developers in order to retain existing clients and acquire new business. You will also be responsible for building relationships with partners and key stakeholders on propositions and promoting these propositions to our customers to identify selling opportunities.
This is a customer facing role and requires strong relationship building and ongoing management and commercial skills. This role will involve some travel with occasional visits to clients and partners.
You’ll have previous experience of significantly contributing to a dynamic business sales function and will be able to provide evidence of hitting and exceeding your sales targets. You will be able to demonstrate identifying and leveraging leads as well as building face to face client relationships to maximise commercial value.
You will have previously launched new propositions and secured and retained business through developing new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with clients.

You’ll have a good eye for detail and accuracy and will be able to work under your own initiative with a proactive approach delivering results and meeting deadlines.
You don’t have to have a background in renewable energy but you must be motivated by working for a purpose and values led organisation, and have the capability to learn about a complex industry, fast.
