About the team and role

The Transformation team at Good Energy establish and maintain change capability to support the delivery of ongoing programmes of work within a regulatory, strategic and transformational framework. The team encompasses all aspects of IT and business change activities, from the initial idea through to the enduring support of the business.

Reporting to the Solution Architect, the Business Analyst support project managers and operational stakeholders in the review, assessment, communication and accurate closure of change in line with defined project deliverables and change control processes.

Alongside this you will have responsibility for driving continual improvement in business process, working closely with stakeholders to define and recommend opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. Other key duties and accountabilities of the role will include;

  • Support the creation of the business case, project initiation documentation and business requirements in order to scope work necessary to deliver change
  • Develop, analyse and ensure all change requests are assessed for risk and impact, planned in line with defined requirements and approved by appropriate defined personnel
  • Apply and make use of effective process mapping, data modelling and other techniques deemed appropriate to support successful implementation
  • Ensure changes are reviewed post-implementation in a controlled manner and where appropriate corrective actions are captured
  • Identify, escalate and manage risks and issues to ensure changes are deployed smoothly
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business, projects and suppliers as necessary
  • Coordinate, plan and report on change related functions and project work streams
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Change Management process through the identification and introduction of better ways of working

About you

You will be educated to degree level and have experience of working within a project environment, specifically in the deployment of new IT solutions. You will have a high level if IT literacy and experience using Microsoft Office products whilst being able to translate complex issues and information into simple key messages and actions.

With an understanding of Change Management methodology and principles, you will possess demonstrable experience of business modelling techniques using UML, BPMN or similar notations. Additionally, you will have strong planning, organisation, analytical, requirement gathering and administration skills with the ability to self-manage, organise and prioritise workload.
