Don't take our word for it
We’re positive Good Energy is great energy. But it’s not all about electricity.
We make sure everything we do meets our strict ethical standards. This helps ensure that all our activities have a positive impact on our employees, our customers and our planet.
And so that you know we’re doing what we say we are, we strive to be as transparent as possible and independently verified. Here are some of our accreditations and achievements.
Top scoring ethical company
We’ve topped the Ethical Company Organisation’s table for renewable electricity suppliers for ten years running now. Assessed on a range of categories, such as environment, pollution and the amount of energy generated from renewable sources, as well as animal welfare and human rights, we are currently the only company to score 100 out of 100.
Award-winning customer care
An important part of our ethical commitment is ensuring outstanding customer service. We know you don’t want to be passed from pillar to post. That’s why we make sure our Customer Care team can help with everything from energy efficiency advice to generating your own electricity. This has helped us to come top in the Which? customer satisfaction survey for energy suppliers three years in a row.
Our 100% renewable guarantee
For every unit of electricity Good Energy customers use, we buy a unit of electricity from renewable generators. Because of the nature of renewables, sometimes we have too much power and sometimes too little, so we promise that over a 12 month period, each unit used by our customers is matched 100% with electricity sourced from our renewable generators.
We have one of the most stringent environmental procurement policies in the industry. So that we can guarantee our greener electricity comes from where we say it does: wind, water, sunshine and sustainable biogeneration. We’ve been doing this for the last 15 years, and now deliver power to more than 40,000 homes from renewable energy. This is all made possible thanks to the 60,000 renewable generators in our network, and the investment we’ve made in our own renewable generation such as our Hampole and Delabole wind farms. See how we compare on price as well as value.
