19 March 2011: Chippenham-based Good Energy, the UK’s leading 100% renewable electricity supplier, was named winner of the Environmental Excellence Award in Business at last night’s Wiltshire Life Magazine Awards ceremony.

The Environmental Excellence in Business category recognises a Wiltshire based business “who have a strong sense of identity and financial success, illustrate sound staff motivation and growth and a sustainable and responsible ‘green‘  business model.” The decision to announce Good Energy as the winners in this category was made by a panel of judges including Mark Allen, Editor of Wiltshire Life Magazine.

Juliet Davenport, CEO of Good Energy, says:

“It is a great honour to have received this prestigious Wiltshire Life Award.   When I started Good Energy I had a vision for making renewable energy accessible and affordable for everyone. Ten years later Good Energy supplies green electricity to more than 26,000 homes and businesses across the UK, and supports a pioneering community of more than 1,700 independent renewable generators that use the wind, water and sun to generate homegrown energy.  I look forward to the continued growth of the business from its home here in Chippenham.  The timing of the award is wonderful as Climate Week starts on Monday so we’re offering £50 off for all new customers signing up before 27 March.”
