Week St Mary Renewable Energy Farm

We are proposing a combined wind and solar farm near Week St Mary in North Cornwall. The plans are for up to 14 wind turbines and 80 acres of solar panels with a combined potential output of 47MW, enough clean electricity to power around 20,000 homes.
If the project goes ahead Good Energy would offer its groundbreaking local electricity tariff to anyone living within a five kilometre radius of the energy farm. The scheme would also create a £79,000 a year community fund to invest in local projects, over which the local community would have complete control. This would be worth more than £2 million over the next 25 years. In total, the local economic benefit of the scheme is calculated to be more than £6 million. It also pledges to explore opportunities to offer community ownership schemes of the sites Good Energy develops.
