To join our Smart Generation scheme you will need to meet a few requirements. We cannot process your application unless all these requirements are met. Generators must:
- Be located in England, Scotland or Wales.
- Have permission from your local distribution company to connect to the local electricity grid.
- Be accreditable for or must have already applied for accreditation for ROCs, LECs, and REGOs.
- If you have an export meter fitted, it must be an industry standard settlement export meter, otherwise we will need to arrange for a settlement export meter to be fitted at your cost.
- Have the potential to export at least the minimum export threshold. This will be specified in the pricing offered.
- Hold and regularly check an email account for correspondence from Good Energy.
- Read and send monthly meter readings to Ofgem and Good Energy via email.
