A big slice of the electricity we sell to Good Energy’s customers is supplied by large scale independent renewable generators located all over the UK. Acting as the link between customers and renewable generators, we are helping individuals show their support for renewable energy and delivering a good power price to the generators.

We think this is encouraging new renewable generation in the UK. In fact in 2008 approximately 15% of our electricity comes from generators of less than 1 year old.

How does commercial generation work?

If you are a commercial sized renewable generator, we can offer you a competitive tailor-made Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with the option of either a guaranteed fixed price for your power over a long period, or a variable power price with or without a floor price. We will also buy your renewable certificates (ROCs, LECs, and REGOs) at competitive prices.

We can set up a Power Purchase Agreement for all types of renewable technologies, including wind, solar PV, hydro and sustainable biogeneration.

We are always looking to work with more commercial generators to meet the growing demand for Good Energy.
