Start generating
Now your installation is complete, once it's commissioned, you can start generating your own electricity! But to receive your payments you need to make sure that you are properly registered for the Feed-in Tariff.
Once you're entirely satisfied with the work, you'll be invoiced for the balance of your installation and your installer will then issue you with your Certificate of Completion.
MCS Certificate
You will also receive an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) certificate from your installer which proves that your generator and generating equipment is MCS accredited and eligible to receive Feed-in-Tariff payments (providing your installation is under 30kW).
Feed-in Tariff Accreditation
Now you are a renewable energy generator, you need to register your system with a Feed-in Tariff provider. You'll be unable to claim any Feed-in Tariff payments until your system is registered, and payments cannot be backdated, so we recommend that you do this as soon as you receive your MCS Certificate.
Good Energy offers an expert Feed-in Tariff service, and we already work with over 4,000 generators across the UK. We’ll help make sure all the paperwork is taken care of so that your generator is Feed-in Tariff accredited swiftly and you receive the payment you are entitled to. We know the process inside and out and can support you at every step.
