Payment FAQs
When will I be paid my Feed-in Tariff?
You will receive your Feed-in Tariff payment quarterly. We've laid out below the steps that take you from the units of electricity you generate to receiving money in your bank account.
- When you sign up, we will ask you to submit your initial meter readings. We'll then ask you for meter readings at least every quarter
- We will use these readings to calculate the amount of electricity you have generated and the payment you're entitled to.
- We'll submit this figure to Ofgem, which then sends your payment to us.
- Once we receive it, we will pay you.
It tends to take around six weeks from us submitting your figures to you receiving your payment. But rest assured it is our priority to pay you as soon as we can.
How will I be paid my Feed-in Tariff?
Based on the meter readings you send us, Good Energy will pay the value of your generation directly into your bank account.
From what date do my Feed-in Tariff payments start?
The date you are eligible to start receiving Feed-in Tariff payments is the later of either:
- The date we receive your written request to have your Feed-in Tariff paid by Good Energy i.e. when we receive your completed Good Energy Feed-in Tariff sign up form.
Or
- The date your MCS installer certificate number is issued.
So, as soon as you know you'd like Good Energy to provide your Feed-in Tariff, please return your completed Good Energy Feed-in Tariff sign up form to us.
