Paying for your energy

The majority of our customers pay by monthly Direct Debit, where equal instalments are automatically debited from your account each month helping to spread the payments over a year.

Please complete and return it to;

Alternatively, please call us on 0845 601 1410 and we will send you a Direct Debit form in the post.

If you don’t know how much you use or pay, we can estimate the monthly amount based on the national average. We will let you know at least 10 days in advance of the first payment going out.

Alternatively, you can pay by cheque or card, or by internet banking.

Phone
To pay by phone using a debit or credit card, please call 0845 601 1410 (credit card payments may be subject to a charge).

Online
To pay for your electricity using internet or telephone banking please quote Good Energy Ltd, S/C 60-05-16, A/N 18642691 and your electricity customer account number.

To pay for your gas using internet or telephone banking please quote Good Energy Gas Limited, S/C 60-05-16, A/N 18757448 and your gas customer account number.

Your bank may charge for this service.

If you have difficulty paying for your electricity or gas please call us immediately

If you are having problems paying your bill, don’t panic, just call us on 0845 601 1410 and we can discuss your payment options with you.

We can help, but only if we know there is a problem. We will consider your ability to pay and agree a suitable instalment amount and payment method.

It will help us to advise you if you tell us if:

  • You are elderly, or have a disability or long term illness
  • You are a tenant, the debt is in your landlord’s name and you pay them for your gas or electricity (also tell your local authority)
  • You receive Income Support or income-based Jobseekers Allowance, in which case the Benefits Agency may be able to help you

We offer advice on how to reduce your energy usage

We have a partnership with the Energy Saving Trust which has trained our customer care team to offer expert, impartial energy efficiency advice. On average a Good Energy customer uses around 10% less than the national average.
