Good Energy Bonds
Good Energy Group is pleased to announce that the Good Energy Bonds received applications in excess of £15 million. This shows the strength of interest in investment in the UK’s renewable energy future – and in Good Energy too. The offer is now closed.
The fantastic response in just over three weeks meant that we closed ahead of schedule. Unfortunately we have had to return applications received following close on 24th October. We appreciate the support of everyone who applied.
We have applied a limited scale back of applications received before close of the Bond offer, due to the high volume of applications received on the final morning and the total exceeding our £15 million maximum. We’ve therefore reduced applications over £25,000 by 33% (or, if higher, they have been reduced to the £25,000 threshold). Through this approach, we have accommodated all pre-close applications with a limited impact on higher value applications. We expect all these applicants to receive a letter from Good Energy by the first week of December with their bond certificate.
We are delighted with the success of our first corporate bond, particularly as a high proportion of the applications were personal applications and over 80% of the applicants were customers. The incredible support we’ve had is a real sign of confidence in Good Energy and belief in our goals.

We’re delighted with the success of our first corporate bond issue. To have exceeded our target of £5 million and now, three weeks ahead of schedule, to have reached the maximum of £15 million indicates strong investor confidence in Good Energy. Further, it demonstrates overwhelming support for our goals to develop and build further UK renewable energy projects.
