New wind farm plans in Scotland

We’ve just launched a public consultation for a new onshore wind farm development near Turriff in Aberdeenshire. As always, we’ll be aiming to ensure that engaging with people living locally and quality environmental assessments are at the core of this project. To view the consultation plans and give us your feedback, visit our Holm and Hollymill pages – we’d love to know what you think.
“We believe we can achieve a future powered purely by renewables sourced in the UK and we are investing in new sources of generation to help realise this vision,” says Good Energy CEO, Juliet Davenport. “So we are really pleased to have started work on developing a great site in Aberdeenshire with two landowners. We see this as one of the building blocks towards securing a stable and renewable energy network for the UK.”
Last year we embarked on a five-year plan to add 50 MW of new onshore wind capacity, enough to power the homes in a city about the size of Cambridge. This new proposed development follows the successful completion of our new wind farm at Delabole in North Cornwall, and we expect to be announcing more projects very soon.
