Green cooking at the Organic Food Festival
RSS Feed
A massive thanks to the people and businesses of Bristol who provided such support for us at the Organic Food Festival last weekend. It was great to meet so many of our customers – and some potential news ones too.
It was truly inspiring to see so many local, ethical, organic food and drink producers in one place and to have the opportunity to sample their wares.
The high point for us was Arthur Potts Dawson’s low-carbon cookery demo. Speaking to a packed audience, he kicked things off with two fantastic seasonal recipes – mackerel ceviche and chilli and sweetcorn griddle cakes, from Good Energy’s Good Kitchen guide. As well as eight delicious recipes the guide is also packed with advice on how to give your kitchen a green makeover. To get your copy of the guide please email customeradmin@goodenergy.co.uk.

Congratulations to the winners of Good Energy’s competitions which ran on Breeze radio and in the Bristol Evening Post. Their treat was lunch with hosted by Arthur and Good Energy at local sustainable restaurant Bordeaux Quay. We sent them off in style thanks to our friends at Pedal Walla who provided people-powered transport.
Loads of people took our carbon challenge and entered our competition to win a year’s supply of green electricity. We’ll be announcing the winners here next week.
If you missed the Bristol Organic Food Festival, you'll have another chance to see Arthur in action, enter more competitions, and meet the Good Energy gang at the Real Food Harvest Festival on London’s South Bank 23rd to 25th September. Hope to see you there – here’s another picture of Arthur looking lovely to whet your appetites.
