Lloyds

Towards the end of last year, Good Energy switched our main banking facilities to Lloyds.

This is not a decision that we have taken lightly and we hope that our work with Lloyds will become a long-term relationship which will support the development of our business and help us with our aims to grow renewables in Britain and put the UK on the path to a 100% renewable future.

The new facilities we have with Lloyds enable us to continue to expand our investments in the renewable industry.  In particular they will allow us to invest in our Feed-In Tariff services supporting thousands of renewable generators across the UK and expand our customer base to supply more customers with 100% renewable electricity.  The facility has also helped us change the way we operate enabling us to bring down the costs of our 100% renewable electricity tariff.

Good Energy also has a banking relationship with the Co-operative Bank which provides facilities to Good Energy’s Generation business – and we will be continuing to build on that relationship in the future.  We hope to expand our generation side of our business and develop enough onshore wind farms to supply a town the size of Cambridge. However, for our main business we require the range of services which Lloyds is able to provide.

Good Energy prides itself on being an ethical business and we expect the same standards from all our suppliers and partners. You can read more about Lloyds’ approach to meeting the challenges of climate change on their website.

If you have any concerns about Lloyds ethics or environmental record, please let us know and we will be sure to pass on your feedback.

And look out during the coming weeks for Good Energy featuring in some of Lloyds’ advertising, we’re not sure about the photo of our CEO, but we love the campaign!
