Switching your business to Good Energy - What you need to know

How do I sign up?
Give us a call on 0845 456 1640; email us on enquiries@goodenergy.co.uk; or complete our quote request form which gives us the information we need to produce a quote.

How long does it take to make the switch?
The majority of our business customers can receive a quote over the phone straight away or by email within a few hours.  Once terms are agreed and depending on the current arrangement with your existing supplier you should be live with Good Energy within two to three weeks. For larger customers, we will provide a quote within three days of receiving the information we need.  Most suppliers require one month’s notice of termination so it’s usually a good idea to start the process 6-8 weeks before your existing contract ends.

What about my current supplier?
Most businesses can switch supplier straightaway provided a year has elapsed since they last switched.  Once you have notified us of your desire to switch we will handle the relationship with your old supplier to transfer the arrangements to us. Larger customers may be in annual contracts which will ‘rollover’ unless they notify their supplier of the desire to switch.  Our team will happily help you through this process.

How much electricity do I need to use to become a business customer with Good Energy?
There is no minimum requirement, your supply needs depend on a number of factors and the usage of our business customers varies a lot, from small shops to wind-turbine manufacturers.  We welcome all organisations who care where their electricity comes from and want to support the growth of renewables in the UK.

What is a half-hourly customer?
Half-hourly customers, usually larger businesses or generators, have a meter that records electricity usage for each half an hour. We use this data to determine the best price for supply.  If you are not sure, have a bill to hand and give us a call, we know the right place to look for it.

What other services do you offer?
