Solar Another way of helping grow the UK’s renewable energy capacity is by investing directly in a fund which invests in solar projects. A fund that makes use of Feed-in Tariffs can generate fairly predictable cash flows over 20 to 25 years.

One way for UK-based individuals to invest in solar assets is through a Venture Capital Trust (VCT), a listed investment vehicle designed to offer investors an income tax rebate of 30% of the value of their investment, as well as tax free dividends and capital gains tax relief on disposal of shares.
